FAQs

Q: How much will this cost?

A: I will need to fundraise $75,000 for my project and any leftover funds will be used for a maintenance fund for the greenhouse.

Q: What will your project do?

A: My project will improve the outdoor classroom space at MHS by adding a greenhouse, adding four new raised beds, removing invasive species and overgrown plants and replacing them with new plants.

Q: How will the school use the greenhouse?

A: The school will use the greenhouse for both classes and clubs at MHS. Classes will be able to have class in the greenhouse. The cooking classes will be able to use fresh produce grown in the greenhouse to cook with. NGSS (National Green Schools Society) will be able to use the greenhouse to grow plants for plant sales and to grow native plants that can be planted around the school or town.

Q: What is the time frame for your project?

A: My project will be broken into three different phases. The conservation will be done in the spring, the foundation and raised beds will be done over the summer, and the greenhouse will be installed in October or November.
